Andrew MARSHALL AM 

President, Master Builders Association

Andrew is Managing Director of well-known SA family business Marshall and Brougham Constructions. He joined the business in 2000 after having successfully practiced as a Physiotherapist, owning and managing a variety of private practices in both Adelaide and London. He maintains a very hands-on approach to the delivery of his companies building projects and is actively involved in numerous Educational, Professional and Industry bodies associated with the South Australian Construction Industry. Andrew is the current President of Master Builders Association SA and a Director of TafeSA, as well as past president of the Australian Institute of Building (SA) and immediate past Chair of AnglicareSA.

 

Philip MORTON

Managing Director, Morton Philips

An accomplished General Manager and Managing Director, Philip is a proven high-level Executive Search Consultant who is recognised for service excellence and relationship management. Qualified in engineering and management, Philip brings significant know-how to businesses, always with the focus on people. As a regular commentator and adviser on market conditions and trends, he has contributed to many taskforces on employment.

Philip is Deputy Chair for Foodbank SA and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Jodie van DEVENTER

Head – South Australia, AI Group

Jodie leads the South Australian division of the peak national employer association, the Ai Group. Prior to that, she was CEO of the Committee for Adelaide and has experienced four successful careers spanning the media, industry groups, the public sector and running her own business. A former non-executive Director of Crime Stoppers SA, she Chairs the Adelaide United Women’s Football Committee and enjoys strong relationships across business, government and community at both state and national levels.

Martin HAESE

CEO, Business SA

Martin is well-known as an entrepreneur, educator and public figure with a track record of delivering for customers, companies and communities. After building and selling a national retail chain, and managing Rundle Mall, Martin was elected as the 78th Lord Mayor of Adelaide in November 2014, a position he held until November 2018. He is highly respected by the employer community, has extensive networks and is well regarded by all sides of politics. Martin is also Chairman of the Premier’s Climate Change Council of South Australia.

Sean O’BRIEN

Managing Director, Channel Nine Adelaide 

Sean has been the Managing Director of Channel Nine Adelaide since 2013.  This is his second stint at Nine, previously having worked as Sales Director from 2001-2009.  Between roles at Nine, he was the General Manager at FIVEaa and Nova 919 working for Lachlan Murdoch’s DMG Radio.

He has over 30 years sales and business leadership experience in the Media Industry. Sean was one of two company nominated directors for Telethon SA and was on the board during its most successful years for donations to charities. He was a Down Syndrome SA board member (2009-2013) and formed part of the structural change from a month to month organisation to one with long term financial stability. Sean has also been a White Ribbon Australia Director and White Ribbon Ambassador (2017-2019) and is an ongoing guest lecturer at the University of Adelaide.
