12-79 Serious Criminal Trespass and Theft – Rosewater
Police need help to locate five Aboriginal paintings that were stolen.
Between 8.00 pm on Thursday, 10th May, 2012 and 3.00 pm on Sunday, 13th May, 2012, unknown person/s have broken into a church building on Grand Junction Rd, Rosewater and stolen Aboriginal art works, power tools, electrical items and a car stereo system, with an estimated value of $90,000.
The paintings are described as:
1. Barbara Weir, 90x120cm, titled Grass Seed
2. Barbara Weir, 90x120cm, titled My Mother’s Country
3. Minnie Pwerle, 90x120cm, titled Awelye Atnwengerrp
4. Minnie Pwerle, 90x120cm, titled Awelye Atnwengerrp
5. Gloria Petyarre, 920x120cm, titled Bush Medicine
