Murder – Damian CAUCHI and Russell BRADSHAW (18-75)
Russell Bradshaw (right hand picture), aged 35 years, was last seen by his wife leaving their Salisbury Heights home in January 1992. Russell left without taking any of his personal possessions and without telling anyone where he was going. Russell was believed to be involved in the local drug scene, but it is not known if this played a role in his disappearance. The manner of Russell’s disappearance is not consistent with his usual behavior as he always maintained contact with his friends and family, including his children. In February 2004, investigators co-ordinated a search of scrub land near Perponda in the Murray Mallee as it was believed this may have been where Russell had been buried. His body was not located. It is suspected that he has been murdered and his murder is believed to be linked with the disappearance of Damian Cauchi in 1998.
Damian Cauchi (left hand picture), aged 21 years, left his Mount Gambier home to take up residence in Adelaide in early August 1998. The last reported sighting of Damian was in August 1998 when he was seen in the company of another male. He was reported missing by his parents in September 1998. Damian was believed to associate with a number of people involved in criminal activities, but it is not known if this played a role in his disappearance. His disappearance is not consistent with his usual behavior as he maintained regular contact with his parents. Damian’s bank accounts have not been accessed since the time of his disappearance. Investigators co-ordinated a search of scrub land at Borrika near Karoonda as it was believed this may have been where he had been buried. His body was not located. It is suspected that he has been murdered and his disappearance is linked with the disappearance of Russell Bradshaw.
Anyone with information about these two people, or the male who is suspected of being involved in their murders, is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, report online or via the App.
