Theft and Deception – Adelaide (17-34)

At about 2.10 pm on Tuesday, 24th May, 2016, the victim accidentally left her purse sitting on a table in the communal kitchen, on the fourth floor, of The Hub at the University Of Adelaide, North Terrace, Adelaide.  At about 2.31 pm on the same day the victim’s purse was located, however money and a bankcard were missing from the purse.  Between 2.43 pm and 3.22 pm on the same day numerous transactions were conducted or attempted to be conducted at various retail stores in Rundle Mall and North Terrace with the stolen bankcard. 

CCTV footage from within the University Of Adelaide shows a male suspect in possession of the victim’s purse.  The male suspect can be seen to place the purse down on a counter in The Hub.

The male is described as:  aged in his twenties, slim build, Asian appearance, with short dark hair and clean shaven, wearing a black short sleeved top with red hoops around the bottom of the sleeves, long black pants, grey shoes with white stripes and carrying a satchel over his shoulder.
