Assault Cause Harm – Norwood

At about 8.20pm on the 17th September 2021 a man was standing with his girlfriend at the intersection of the Parade and George Street, Norwood when a group of males and females  began making derogatory comments towards the girlfriend. The man has then turned around and was approached by one of the males in the group. Another male from the group has then approached and coward punched the man to the face causing him to collapse to the ground. The group has then fled from the scene, running west along the Parade. The assault was completely unprovoked and  the man has sustained serious injuries.

The male that assaulted the man is described as being of Afghan appearance, approximately 18 years old, 170cm tall, with dark short hair in a buzz cut. He has a scraggly moustache and was wearing dark clothing and a distinctive silver chain.
