FATAL HIT RUN – DYSON RD LONSDALE
12-09 Police need help in relation to a fatal crash that occurred in 1995.
At about 6.45 pm on Wednesday 16 August 1995, Craig Lack, 35 years, was riding his bicycle in a northerly direction along Dyson Road LONSDALE in the emergency stopping lane. When he reached a position approximately 400 metres south of Sherriffs Road he was struck from behind by an unknown vehicle. That vehicle did not stop and Craig Lack died 2 hours later at the Flinders Medical Centre as a result of his injuries.
After investigations in 1995, no driver, witnesses or vehicle has ever been located and the crash was filed with the Coroner.
Recent information gained by Major Crash Investigators suggests that the vehicle that struck Craig Lack was a yellow or gold 1976 Chrysler Valiant wagon.
