14-158 Robbery – Hindley Street Adelaide

At about 5.15 am on Saturday 14th June 2014, the victim was on Hindley Street and was approached by a male who asked him for a cigarette.  The victim and the male engaged in conversation outside the Sheeka Lounge, which resulted in them deciding to continue drinking together at the Strathmore Hotel on North Terrace.  As the victim accompanied the male down Blyth Street, the male offered him sex for money.  The victim replied that he was not interested.  The male then pushed the victim up against a wall, grabbed him by the shirt and demanded his keycard or he would assault him.  The victim did not have his keycard on him.  The male then demanded the victim’s mobile phone, which the victim handed over.  When the victim attempted to get his phone back the male threatened to stab him.

The male suspect is Lebanese, 172 cms tall, 25 yrs, of medium build, clean shaven, with short brown hair in a crew cut.  He was wearing a blue long sleeved shirt, dark coloured jeans and blue & white shoes.  He was very drunk at the time and was smoking.
