14-24 Arson – Saigon House Vietnamese Restaurant Para Vista

Police need help to locate a person who may be able to assist with their investigation into the arson of the Saigon House Vietnamese Restaurant at Para Vista.

At about 1.30 am on Friday, 17th January, 2014 the metropolitan fire brigade attended to a fire at the Saigon House Vietnamese Restaurant, at 396 Montague Rd, Para Vista. The estimated damage to the restaurant is $200,000. Fire cause investigators reported the fire was started from an external area at the rear of the premises, causing the ceiling space to catch fire and spread throughout the building. CCTV vision from nearby captures a male walking west on Montague Road, Para Vista. This person may be able to assist police with this investigation.

The male is described as wearing a cap on his head, long shorts, sneakers, shirt and carrying a backpack on his back with reflective stripes.
