15-99TV Crime Series – RSPCA Thrift Stores – Break Ins and Thefts

Between February 2015 and June 2015 a male has broken into four R.S.P.C.A. Thrift stores across metropolitan Adelaide, between the hours of 10.00 pm and 5.00 am.  The stores he has broken into include Brighton, Blackwood, Warradale and Prospect, with the Warradale store having been broken into twice.  CCTV indicates that it is the same male each time who breaks into the stores.

The male has entered the stores through either the front or rear doors where he picks the lock or smashes his way in or has managed to ‘pop out’ and remove glass from the windows.  Once the male is inside the store he heads straight to the safe where he manages to either open the safe and remove cash or removes the entire safe.  The male appears to know the exact location of where the safes are kept in each store as he heads straight for them each time and does not spend time looking around.

The male is described as:  mid thirties to early forties, large build, Caucasian, full beard, short brown hair that has a receding hairline, pointy nose and thick dark eyebrows, wearing a bandana or scarf covering his face, sometimes wears a hat to cover his face, always black gloves and carries a grey backpack.  On three occasions he has worn black shoes with white shoe laces, whilst twice he has worn workman’s boots. Once he has worn a high visibility jacket, whilst on three occasions he has worn a big black jacket.
