Aggravated Assault – Salisbury North (20-18)

                          

At about 4.50 pm on Saturday, 2nd November, 2019, the male victim, a passenger in his friend’s vehicle, a red Honda Civic, was travelling in an easterly direction along Waterloo Corner Road, Salisbury North, heading towards the intersection of Bagster Road and Waterloo Corner Road, Salisbury North.  The above pictured male and his female associate, who is also pictured, were walking along the footpath of Waterloo Corner Road, Salisbury North, also heading in the same direction.  As the victim and his friend slowed for traffic stopped ahead due to the red light, an exchange of words occurred between the pictured male on the footpath and the victim in the vehicle.  The pictured male approached the passenger side door where the victim was sitting and assaulted the victim across the head.  The victim initially believed he had been punched in the head, but as he alighted from the vehicle to confront the pictured male he realised he was bleeding from his head.  At that point the victim saw the pictured male holding a Stanley knife and realised he had been stabbed.  The victim attempted to retreat back to the vehicle and was set upon again by the pictured male, this time slashing him across his back with the Stanley knife.  The pictured male and the pictured female associate then ran across the street.  The victim was treated at hospital and is now left with a permanent scar on his back which is approximately 45 cm in length.

  • The male who stabbed the victim is described as:  late twenties to early thirties, 170-176 cm (5’7″-5’9″), medium build, Caucasian and has short blonde hair, wearing a black baseball cap, t-shirt, shorts and white Nike shoes.  He had a bumbag and was wearing a chunky gold chain.
  • His female associate is described as:  about twenty years, about 180 cm (5’11”), skinny build, Caucasian and has dark hair in an up-style, wearing a dark jumper, leggings and white shoes.
