Murdered

On Monday 21 September 1998 at around 11.29 p.m., Bora Altintas, aged 30 years, was shot dead outside the ‰Û÷Apollo 11 Club‰’ at 87 Torrens Road, Brompton.  Mr Altintas was hit by four bullets fired from a high powered handgun. There had been a previous attempt on his life in 1996. Mr Altintas had an extensive criminal record and criminal associates. At the time of the murder he was on home detention bail for drug related matters.

Prior to the shooting, Mr Altintas had been driven to the location from his home address by an associate after having a heated phone conversation with a male.
