At about 10.30 p.m. on Tuesday 16 April 1991, the body of David “John” Saint, aged 40 years, was located lying face down in bushes on South Terrace, Adelaide. He was a homosexual known to frequent gay beats along South Terrace.
Mr Saint had a severe fracture of the skull. Lacerations to the rear of his head corresponded with a blood stained ‘herring bone’ patterned paving brick found at the scene.
It is suspected that he was the victim of a homosexual bashing.
