From September 2022 a man has attended at libraries in the Eastern suburbs and has used library cards in other people’s names to borrow over 180 games and books which haven’t been returned. Some of the cards used have been in young children’s names. The total cost to replace these items which haven’t been returned is approximately $7000.

The man is described as being of Asian appearance, wearing a mask, sunglasses and a baseball cap and carrying recyclable shopping bags.
