House Break Ins – Eastern Suburbs

10/9TV – Police need help to identify several persons thought to be responsible for house breaks in the Eastern Suburbs. Between November 2008 and January 2009 there has been a marked increase in the number of house break-ins in several suburbs within the Eastern Adelaide Local Service Area. Specifically the suburbs bordered by Glen Osmond, Fullarton, Kensington and Portrush Roads (Rose Park, Dulwich, Glenside, Frewville, Toorak Gardens and Glenunga). Some adjoining suburbs have also been affected. The offences are occurring at various times of the day and night and throughout the week and weekends. The property targeted includes TV’s, jewellery, handbags, credit cards and mobile phones. Despite a number of arrests by police the offences have continued and police are seeking the assistance of members of the public who may have noticed suspicious activity within this area to contact the police at the earliest opportunity. Police believe that there are a number of persons responsible given the descriptions provided by witnesses. Some are described as wearing tradesman type clothing including overalls and high visibility clothing. One vehicle believed to be an older model white Mistubishi or Nissan with the registration ending ‘155’ has been sighted at one incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
