Missing presumed murdered

Leo Daly, aged 33 years, has not been seen since the morning of 5 April 1998. He was last seen at his home address at Mitchell Park by his house mate.Police believe that Mr Daly was in fear for his life in March 1998 due to drug debts. It is believed that because of these debts he was assaulted by criminal associates at a house in Mitchell Park and his body taken out to sea, shot and thrown overboard. His body has never been located.

In 1999 two suspects were arrested and charged with Mr Daly‰’s murder. These charges were subsequently withdrawn due to a lack of evidence. Both persons remain suspects in this matter.

One of the suspects is also believed to be involved in the disappearances and suspected murders of David McWilliams, Robert Pendergast and 15 year old Juan Morgan. These suspected murders have been investigated by Major Crime Investigation Branch under the title of Operation Jarrah.
