Murdered
Rodney Larcombe, aged 65 years, resided alone at Kildonan Road, Warradale.
Mr Larcombe was active on Û÷gay contact’ websites and had an extensive circle of male Û÷friends’ who were substantially younger than him who apparently visited for sexual purposes. Mr Larcombe had history with police in relation to historical sexual offences dating back to 1978 which had only recently been dealt with in the courts.
At about 4.00 p.m. on Thursday 28 November 2013, some family members attended at his residential premises as a result of concerns they had which were raised from them not being able to contact him. On arrival at his premises, they gained entry by a rear sliding door which was closed but unlocked.
Mr Larcombe was found on the floor of his bedroom, with blunt and sharp force injuries to the head.
Police investigations have determined that Mr Larcombe was possibly killed between the hours of about 5.05 p.m. and 8.11 p.m. on Wednesday 27 November 2013.
