Between Friday, 25th October, 2019 and Thursday, 31st October, 2019 unknown person/s have cut padlocks and gained access to electrical cables and power boxes at a new housing estate being built at Two Wells. About $2,000 worth of copper cable was stolen with estimates to repair the damage valued at about $40,000. Police believe the person/s committed the offence with the intention of selling the stolen cable to a scrap metal yard or dealer. Police are seeking help from the public in identifying any person known to be stealing electrical cable, other service cable or components and selling the material as scrap metal.
