Aggravated Serious Criminal Trespass, Hyde Park

Posted on 16/05/2023

At 3.52am on Wednesday, 9th November 2022 two unknown thieves were caught on CCTV breaking into a Hyde Park business and taking luxury handbags from the shop.

The thieves appear to have used a rear door of an adjacent business under renovation, before climbing into the roof space and entering the victim’s shop through the manhole. Security vision shows the pair taking bags from the VIP room before climbing back up into the manhole.

The suspects did not get away with any bags, as all were left in the store or the roof space.

Bags sold by this business are worth between $5000-$20,000 each.

Witnesses saw two males acting suspiciously and leaving in a brown coloured vehicle with yellow registration plates.
