Call for help to solve the suspected murder of Damian Cauchi
Posted on 01/08/2020
Another year on and the mystery of what happened to Damian Cauchi still remains unsolved.
The 21-year old left his Mount Gambier home to live in Adelaide in early August 1998. The last reported sighting of him was in August 1998 in company with another male.
He was reported missing by his parents in September 1998.
Damian was believed to associate with people involved in criminal activities but it is not known if this played a role in his disappearance.
His disappearance is out of character and he has not contacted his family or accessed his bank accounts.
He is suspected to have been murdered and his disappearance is linked with the sudden disappearance of Russell Bradshaw in 1992, who is also suspected to have been murdered.
Investigators believe Damian was probably murdered because he learnt something about Mr Bradshaw’s disappearance.
There have been several searches in the Murray Mallee region for the remains of the two men — whose bodies are believed to have been dumped close to each other but not in the same exact location.
A reward of up to $200,000 is on offer to anyone who either provides information leading to the recovery of his remains or information leading to a conviction in the case.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or at www.crimestopperssa.com.au
You don’t have to say who you are or get involved.
