CASE PROFILE – Matthew Burgess

Matthew Burgess, born 1959, was last sighted early August 1984 at Hazelwood Park.

He enjoyed painting and was interested in the Aboriginal lands.

Extensive enquiries have been conducted revealing no trace. There has been no activity on his bank account and no confirmed sightings since.

Of the 51,000 missing persons reports submitted to police in 2020 approximately 98 per cent were located. However there remains approximately 2,600 long-term missing persons, who have been missing for more than three months.
