A computer generated image has been released of the suspect wanted for an indecent assault at Semaphore Park last week.

Just after 12.30pm, Friday 22 September, a woman was sunbaking at the beach just north of Recreation Parade when she was approached by a man who began speaking to her.

Following a short conversation, the man allegedly indecently assaulted the woman by grabbing at her and only stopped when a female passerby yelled out.

The man then left the beach and walked east back through the Recreation Parade car park and was not seen again. The victim received minor injuries.

The suspect is described as Caucasian with an Australian accent, approximately 27 to 30-years-old, 170-175cm tall, medium build with a ‘pot belly’, about 85-90 kilograms. The man had short dark brown hair, plump cheeks and a pointy chin. He also had a distinctive wound on the left side of his head just above his temple, the hair had been shaved possibly to treat this wound but has started to grow back.

He was wearing a dark brown singlet, denim shorts and had bare feet. He had two gold hoop sleepers in left ear.

Anyone with information to identify the suspect, and the female passerby who assisted the victim is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report online.
