Property damage – Elizabeth Shopping Centre

Posted on 07/02/2023

At about 9.20pm on Friday, 6th January 2023, the victim parked her vehicle (an orange Holden Station Wagon) outside the Woolworths entrance of the Elizabeth Shopping Centre while she waited for someone who was using the ATM.

When the person using the ATM returned to the victim’s vehicle, the male suspect also approached the vehicle.

The victim sounded the horn to get the suspect to move, however, he did not. When the victim tried to reverse and then slowly moved forward, the suspect jumped onto the front bonnet of the vehicle. The victim tried to get the male off the bonnet by accelerating and braking, but the suspect held on and began punching the windscreen. The windscreen wipers were damaged during the incident. The victim drove around the carpark until the suspect slid off.

He is described as Caucasian male, with a tattoo on his right forearm. At the time he was wearing a black and red baseball cap, black shirt, black pants, sneakers and a black backpack.

If you recognise this person or have any information then you can anonymously contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or https://crimestopperssa.com.au and quote reference number 23-13.
