From 1 January to 30 June 2026, South Australians shared information with Crime Stoppers that helped police investigate crime, apprehend offenders, lay charges and remove drugs and firearms from our community.

Between 1 January and 30 June 2026, Crime Stoppers recorded:
- 11,921 contacts
- 6,271 actions
- 156 apprehensions
- 439 charges laid
Behind those numbers are thousands of moments when someone decided what they knew was worth sharing – and information shared through Crime Stoppers can help police turn what somebody knows into action.
THE MOMENT YOU’VE HAD ENOUGH
Drug dealing can affect much more than the people buying and selling drugs. It can happen near homes, businesses and families. People can see what is happening for weeks or months before reaching the point where they decide something needs to change.
During the first six months of 2026, information anonymously shared with Crime Stoppers directly contributed to the seizure of:
- 442g of methamphetamine – equivalent to more than 4,424 street deals
- 5kg of cannabis – equivalent to more than 8,608 street deals, excluding cannabis plants
- 298 cannabis plants
- 176 litres of GHB (Fantasy)
- 1g of heroin
Crime Stoppers information also contributed to 64 apprehensions for serious drug offences.
Sometimes change starts with deciding you’ve had enough.
THE MOMENT YOU WORRY SOMEONE COULD GET HURT
Knowing about an illegal firearm can put someone in a difficult position. They may fear what could happen if the firearm remains where it is – while also worrying about what might happen if they speak up.
Crime Stoppers provides another option. From January to June 2026, information anonymously shared with Crime Stoppers contributed to:
- 63 firearms seized
- 16 apprehensions for serious firearms offences
- Crime Stoppers also received 395 contacts relating to firearms during that period.

THE MOMENT YOU DECIDE SOMEONE NEEDS TO KNOW
Sometimes the information someone holds doesn’t feel like enough.
A name, registration number, address, something overheard or something noticed repeatedly – but police may already have other pieces of information.
During the first six months of 2026, Crime Stoppers received:
- 841 contacts relating to offences against people
- 561 contacts relating to methamphetamine
- 532 contacts relating to theft
- 455 contacts relating to illicit tobacco, including vapes
- 395 contacts relating to firearms
- 132 contacts relating to murders, including cold case homicides
- 75 contacts relating to arson.
