Speak up. Stay anonymous. Make a difference.
At Crime Stoppers South Australia, we get it – sharing information about crime may feel daunting. Maybe you’ve seen or heard something that doesn’t sit right. Maybe you know something important but you’re not sure what to do with it.
That’s where we come in.
We’re here so you can speak up safely. You can share what you know without anyone knowing who you are. No pressure. No judgment. Just a chance to make your family, loved ones and community safer – anonymously.
You don’t need to be 100% sure.
You don’t need solid proof or evidence to speak up. If something seems off – a weird conversation, a strange car, someone acting suspiciously – your gut feeling is reason enough.
Even the smallest tip could be the missing piece police need to crack a case, stop something bad from happening or protect someone at risk.
What does staying anonymous actually mean?
It means you’re in control. You choose what to share – and what to leave out.
When you contact Crime Stoppers:
- We don’t record or trace calls.
- We don’t collect your IP address online.
- You don’t have to provide your name or personal details.
All we care about is what you know – not who you are.
Want to stay anonymous? Here’s how:
If you want to stay completely anonymous, here are a few simple things to keep in mind:
- Don’t give your name, phone number or address
- Avoid sharing how you came across the information
- Leave out details that could link back to you – like your relationship to anyone involved
- If you upload a photo or video, check it doesn’t reveal who you are
Anonymity is your choice – and we’ll always respect it.
Every detail matters
You might think what you know isn’t important. But it could be exactly what’s needed. That unusual car parked in your street. A strange delivery. Someone behaving oddly. These little things can lead to big breakthroughs.
You’re not expected to investigate – that’s the job of police. We pass your tip on so they can do what they do best and keep you at arm’s length.
Rewards? Yes, that’s possible too.
If your information leads to an arrest or seizure of property, you could be eligible for a reward. We’ll walk you through how that works – and keep you safe in the process.
Ready to share what you know?
Here’s how to reach us – any time, day or night:
- Visit crimestopperssa.com.au to submit an online report
- Call 1800 333 000 (freecall)
You can upload photos if you have them – just make sure nothing gives away your identity if you want to stay anonymous.
Crime Stoppers is not an emergency response service.
In a life-threatening emergency, call 000. For non-urgent police assistance, call 131 444.
What makes a good tip?
You don’t need all the answers. Just tell us what you know – the who, what, where and when, as best you can.
Even vague details can help. Seriously.
And remember — you don’t need to tell us who you are. We’re here for your info, not your ID.
Crime Stoppers South Australia is a not-for-profit charity that works with police, businesses and the community to make our state safer. We’re not part of the police – we’re here to give you a voice, without putting you at risk.
So if something doesn’t feel right, say something.
Speak up. Stay anonymous. It could make all the difference.
This project received grant funding from the Australian Government.
