14-85 Attempt Aggravated Robbery – Grand North Hotel Northfield

          

Police need help to identify two males who attempted to rob the Grand North Hotel at Northfield.

At about 11.50 pm on Saturday, 7th June, 2014, the two males entered the Grand North Hotel, at 737 Grand Junction Road, Northfield, through the front entrance.  The first male (left picture) entered the front bar area of the hotel waving a meat cleaver and demanding money, whilst the second male (right picture) stayed in the foyer area at the front entrance.  When the first male in the front bar was told there was no money, he was then prompted by the second male to leave, which they both did via the front entrance.

The males are described as:

  • First male in left hand side picture – dark skin, wearing a red jacket, black pants, white sports shoes, sunglasses and with a grey towel wrapped around his head and holding a meat cleaver
  • Second male in right hand side picture – wearing a red hooded jacket with a grey towel under the hood which concealed his face, beige pants, grey sports shoes and holding a red bag with yellow handles
