15-95 Aggravated Robbery – Hectorville

At about 2.15 pm on Tuesday, 28th April, 2015, the victim was at the Dennis Morrisey Park, on the corner of Montacute Road and St Bernards Road, Hectorville, near the creek bed at the western end of the park, when he felt a sudden thud on his left shoulder.  The victim saw a male on a dirty olive grey BMX bike holding his backpack, which contained his laptop, camera and three camera lenses.

There was a second male (facial image shown) who was holding a large black pole, approximately 40 cm in length and about 4 cm in width, in his hand.  This male raised the pole and pointed it at the victim’s throat and threatened the victim.  The male demanded the victim hand over his watch and wallet or he would “smash his head”, which the victim did. The male also demanded the victim hand over his wedding ring, which the victim refused to do and the male then hit the victim with force on the leg.  The two males then left the area with the victim’s belongings.

The two males are described as:

Male on BMX Bike – male, 65-75 kg, skinny build and Caucasian, wearing a dark hooded jumper and dark tracksuit pants with white stripes along the side.

Male carrying the pole and has the facial image shown – male, 19 years, 176 cm (5’9″), 65-70 kg, skinny build, Caucasian, dark brown hair, brown eyes with dark bags around them, brown facial hair that was approximately a three to four day growth, long pointed cleft chin and a droopy face, wearing a grey hooded jumper, blue or black jeans and a traditional silver Claddagh ring with a heart on it on his right hand.
