Aggravated Robbery & Property Damage – Plympton (16-37)

At about 6.10 am on Monday, 23rd November, 2015, the above male entered the On The Run Service Station, on the corner of Marion Road and Anzac Highway at Plympton and stole various small food items from within the store which he hid within his clothing. The console operator called out to the male about stealing the items and asked him to come to the counter with them. The male approached the counter, taking items out of his pockets as he did. The console operator locked the front doors and informed the male that the police had been called. A customer was also present in the store whilst this occurred and there was a confrontation between the customer and the male.  As a result the male assaulted the customer by trying to punch him. The male then struck the customer in the head twice with a rock causing the customer to fall to the ground. The male then smashed the locked front glass doors with the rock and ran from the scene. The customer was taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries and received staples to lacerations at the back of his head and over his left eyebrow.

The male is described as:  175-180 cm (5’9″-5’11”), slim-average build, lighter tan skin, Aboriginal, thin dark moustache and unshaven, wearing a khaki/tan beanie, ‘camouflage’ hooded windcheater and knee length blue shorts.
