Armed Robbery – TAPEROO

10/55TV – Police need help to identify two men who robbed the Taperoo Deli whilst armed with a rifle. At 6.35am on Monday June 14 2010 two males entered the Taperoo Deli , 351 Victoria Rd Taperoo. Staff were threatened with a firearm and cash was demanded from the safe. The men were last seen to run to a white early model sedan that was parked in Vine St before driving along Victoria Rd in a northerly direction. The males were described as 1. Male, late twenties, 180 cm (5’11”), Aboriginal and normal build, wearing blue or black Adidas tracksuit pants with red stripe on rear leg across calf area, blue hooded Adidas jumper, white Adidas sneakers and gloves, carrying a grey backpack. This male was in possession of the rifle. 2. Male, mid twenties and Aboriginal, wearing a red/maroon parker style jacket with black underarm inserts, black tracksuit pants, white sneakers, black gloves and a grey hood wrapped around his head and face. This male took the handbag and money. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
