Arson – Noarlunga Centre Interchange (20-45)

        

The pictured male has attended the Noarlunga Centre Interchange at about 4.00 am on Thursday, 9th January, 2020 and walked around the facility before setting fire to some dry long grass and vegetation adjacent to the interchange structure at about 4.40 am.  Both police and fire crews responded with a small grass fire being contained by MFS.  The fire was smouldering upon arrival with no damage to the building, but was approximately 10 metres in size.  The area is long dry grass and mulch in a small fenced off garden area on the northern side of the interchange main building next to a walkway between the bus and train platforms.  After igniting the fire the male has run from the area.

There was a male and a female in the vicinity at the time who may be able to assist police as witnesses.  They were not involved with the incident by may assist police with anything they saw.

The male is described as:  having short dark hair, wearing dark pants and a grey top with black horizontal stripes and he was carrying a grey backpack
