Rewards up to $200,000 will be paid by the Government of South Australia, at the discretion of the Commissioner of Police, to anyone who provides information and assistance that leads to the conviction of the person or persons responsible for the suspected murder of Carlene Ward.

At about 11.30 p.m. on Father’s Day, Sunday 6 September 1992, Carlene Ward, aged 35 years, was found in the main bedroom of her house in Armstrong Avenue, Parafield Gardens. She was found by her 16 year old son who also resided there.
Ms Ward had been brutally assaulted and several weapons used during the course of the murder.
