Rewards up to $200,000 will be paid by the Government of South Australia, at the discretion of the Commissioner of Police, to anyone who provides information and assistance that leads to the conviction of the person or persons responsible for the suspected murder of Heironim Mydlak.

In the early hours of 20 September 1975 Heironim Mydlak, aged 69 years, was walking home after drinking at the Mansfield Park Hotel when he was assaulted and robbed.
Mr Mydlak was hit over the head with an unknown object (possibly a bottle) rendering him unconscious and as a result of the assault died seven days later after never regaining consciousness.
During the investigation two persons of interest were identified however no charges were ever laid against them. Both of these persons are now deceased.
