At about 12.30 p.m. on Tuesday 1 June 2010, infant Lilly Jean Schettini (18 months) was found deceased at her Smithfield Plains home, in the bedroom she shared with her three year old sister. She died as a result of acute blunt head trauma, consistent with being shaken or her head hitting a hard surface.
Four other persons were in the home at the time of the death. Police suspect one or more of these persons are responsible for the death of Lilly.
