Police have launched a major operation to combat a significant surge in shoplifting and aggression toward retail staff. Inspector Julian Coram from Operation Measure states that the operation is targeting recidivist offenders as information shows a small number of offenders appear to be responsible for a high percentage of retail crime. In conjunction with this Operation, Crime Stoppers South Australia has dedicated a page on their website to displaying shoplifting suspects. 12 people are highlighted who are wanted for outstanding theft matters and have been captured shoplifting by CCTV.
