Serious Criminal Trespass and Theft – Mitcham Antique Gallery (21-96)

                                       

                             

Between 12.30 pm on Tuesday, 27th July, 2021 and 11.00 am on Wednesday, 28th July, 2021, unknown person/s have forced entry onto the premises of Mitcham Antique Gallery located at 15 Belair Road, Kingswood. Person/s would have needed a vehicle and trailer or a truck, along with human effort and time, to remove the items as they were very large and heavy. Entry onto the premises has been forced through the main gate on Belair Road, presumably to drive a vehicle onto the property where the items were kept in the yard. Total value of items stolen is approximately $70,000 and the pieces taken are said to be rather unique and not readily available. Items stolen include large cast iron statues, urns, pedestals, fountains, gates and fencing. Pictured items are only some of the items that were stolen.

Witnesses report seeing possibly three to four males in hi-vis clothing and driving a white Toyota van in the vicinity of the area around the time of the break-in.
