Arson – Whyalla

Just after 1am on Monday 4 May 2026, police and fire crews were called to a home in Hambridge Terrace, Whyalla after receiving reports of a car on fire in the driveway of a home.

A silver Ford sedan had been engulfed in flames, however the owner managed to extinguish the fire with a garden hose.

CCTV shows the suspect throwing a Molotov cocktail at the car, then running off south on Raws Street towards the cemetery.

The suspect can be seen wearing long pants, a hooded top with the hood up and dark shoes and appeared to be right-handed.
