CASE PROFILE – murder of Graham Nixon, Sinibaldo Palombi and Hubert Western,

Graham Nixon (33 years), Sinibaldo Palombi, (35 years), and Hubert Western, (32 years) all died from gunshot wounds received on 8 October 1999.
All had attended at the Rebels Clubrooms on Wright Street, Adelaide after an incident between Rebels members and Hells Angels members earlier that evening on Rundle Street in the city.
At about 2am on Friday 8 October 1999, three men believed linked with the Hells Angels arrived at the Rebels Clubrooms in Wright Street Adelaide. A number of Rebels members were outside at this time and were joined by others who had emerged from within the clubrooms. Two of the three Hells Angels members produced firearms and shot at the Rebels, resulting in five Rebels members being shot.
Mr Nixon and Mr Palombi died at the scene and Mr Western died in hospital on 11 October 1999.
Two Hells Angels members were later arrested, but the charges were withdrawn due to non-cooperation by members of the Rebels.
Rewards up to $500,000 remain on offer for information and assistance that leads to a conviction in this case.
