Crime Stoppers SA welcomes new Director Angelo Russo to Board

Posted on 18/10/2024

Crime Stoppers South Australia is pleased to announce the appointment of Angelo Russo to its Board of Directors.

Mr Russo brings over two decades of experience in senior roles across brand, communications and community partnerships, as well as a passion for making meaningful contributions to the local community.

As the current General Manager, Brand & Growth at Police Health, Angelo has a track record of driving sustainable growth and forging strong partnerships. His role has seen Police Health achieve net membership growth that is over five times the industry average, while also maintaining the highest Net Promoter Score (NPS) in its category.

Chair of Crime Stoppers South Australia, Phil Vincent, said Angelo’s wealth of experience will be invaluable as the community-based charity continues to encourage people to anonymously share information to help police solve, prevent and detect crime across the state.

“We are delighted to welcome Angelo to the Board. His extensive experience in brand management, strategic partnerships and community engagement, combined with his leadership in the health and not-for-profit sectors, aligns perfectly with our vision for a safer South Australia,” Mr Vincent said.

“Angelo’s strategic perspective, leadership skills and passion for the wellbeing of the community will help us continue to deliver on our mission to empower the community and encourage them to share information about criminal activity and suspicious activity, with the option to remain anonymous.”

In addition to his role at Police Health, Angelo serves as Deputy Chair of the Morialta Charitable Trust Fund and Chair of its Marketing & Fundraising Committee, as well as Chair of the Members Health Fund Alliance Marketing Leaders Committee. His career experience spans a variety of industries including insurance, public sector, resources and defence, and he has previously held senior positions at Santos, Schneider Electric and BAE Systems.

“I am excited at the opportunity to join the Crime Stoppers South Australia Board and look forward to contributing to the important work the organisation does. Crime Stoppers is a highly trusted and reputable brand and I am excited to be part of a team that is dedicated to keeping our community safe,” Mr Russo said.
