Serious criminal trespass and theft – Brahma Lodge

Posted on 19/03/2024

Police continue to investigate a break-in at Brahma Lodge in July 2023, where an elderly resident was seriously assaulted. CCTV from the area has been released and may assist the investigation.

At about 10.30am on Monday, 24th July 2023 the elderly resident answered a knock at the front door of his Jersey Avenue, Brahma Lodge home. Two men barged in, assaulted the occupant and demanded cash.

They stole a sum of cash and the man’s car, a white 2010 Holden Captiva station wagon, which was subsequently found abandoned in nearby Hereford Street.

The victim sustained serious injuries during the assault.

CCTV shows the victim’s white Holden Captiva being driven from the scene by one suspect and another suspect on foot.

A red Mitsubishi ASX was also captured driving past the house twice. Police are investigating whether this vehicle is linked to the break-in and ask the driver or anyone who recognises this vehicle to come forward.
