Who murdered Rino Villani – and why?

It is now 29 years since Magill man Rino Villani was gunned down in the driveway of his home, and his killer or killlers still remain at large.
On the evening of 17 November 1990 Pellegrino “Rino” Villani had attended a wedding at the Enfield Hotel with his fiancé.
When the pair left the hotel at about 11.30pm, Mr Villani drove to Portrush Road where his fiancé caught a taxi the rest of the way home.
The 29-year old then drove to his house at Jervois Avenue, Magill, arriving home just before midnight.
When he got out of his car he was shot by an unknown person who is believed to have been waiting for him.
He collapsed on the footpath and died from his injuries.
A reward of up to $200,000 is on offer to anyone who provides information leading to a conviction in the case.
