Aggravated Robbery – Commonwealth Bank and BankSA – Klemzig Magill

07/43TV – Investigators are seeking public assistance to identify a man who was thought to be responsible for two aggravated robberies on suburban banks. A male was captured on surveillance video at a nearby business around 11.00 am on Friday July 13 2007, just before the Commonwealth Bank on North East Rd KLEMZIG was held up. The person caught on surveillance video was wearing a similar jacket to that of the robber. He told staff that he had a handgun and then fled after receiving a sum of money. He was last sighted walking along Thistle Ave and Leighton Ave before disappearing. At 11.10 am on Monday July 16 2007 police believe the same man attempted to rob Bank SA at Magill. He handed a note to staff demanding money, who activated the security screens and he left emptied handed. The man is described as Caucasian, 20’s, slim to medium build, pale complexion, blue eyes, thin face. At Klemzig he was wearing a fake droopy moustache, dark zip up jacket with two white stripes and number 55 on the front, denim jeans, dark shoes and a dark beanie with a peak and light band. At Magill he was wearing a dark beanie with a peak and light coloured band, denim jeans, grey long sleeved jacket and gold rimmed sunglasses. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
