Arson at Greenacres

Posted on 02/09/2025

The investigation into a suspicious house fire at Greenacres is continuing, with police releasing CCTV images of a man they need help to identify.

Just after 2am on Sunday, 11 May 2025, emergency services were called to Esther Binks Avenue at Greenacres, following reports of a home ablaze. Thankfully, no one was inside the property at the time and MFS crews were able to quickly extinguish the flames.

Despite their efforts, the fire caused extensive damage to the front bedroom, along with smoke damage throughout the rest of the home. Police have since advised that the blaze is suspicious.

CCTV images of a man seen in the front yard of the property around the time of the fire have been released. He is considered a person of interest in the ongoing investigation.

If you can help to identify this man or provide any information that may assist investigators, please anonymously contact Crime Stoppers online at https://crimestopperssa.com.au or freecall 1800 333 000.  Please quote reference 22-56TV.
