Case profile – Kenneth Hearn

Kenneth Hearn was found in deceased in the front seat of his St Georges taxi on Golden Grove Road at Salisbury at about 8am on Saturday 19th May 1956.
 
The 21-year old taxi driver was found shot once in the head at close range with what was believed to be a .22 bullet.
 
At about 1am on 19 May 1956 Mr Hearn is believed to have picked up a fare in Port Adelaide to take to Salisbury.
 
The motive is thought to have been robbery, as money appeared to have been stolen.
 
A reward of up to $200,000 remains on offer for information that leads to a conviction in this case.
