Crime Stoppers South Australia is pleased to announce the appointment of Will Luker and Patricia Christie to its Board of Directors.
Crime Stoppers SA Chair, Phil Vincent, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Will Luker and Patricia Christie to our Board. Their combined experience and expertise will be invaluable as we continue to deliver campaigns and initiatives designed to help police combat and solve crime in the community.”
“Will’s background in cybersecurity and emergency management will significantly strengthen our strategic initiatives in these critical areas. Patricia’s extensive governance experience and her leadership in various high-profile roles will greatly enhance our oversight and risk management capabilities,” Mr Vincent said.
Will Luker, the current South Australian Government Chief Information Security Officer in the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, brings over a decade of experience in government roles, particularly in cybersecurity and emergency management.
His expertise spans cybersecurity, incident and emergency management, risk management, intelligence analysis, policy development and strategic leadership. Mr Luker has managed whole-of-government cyber and national security strategies and policies and led major emergency and incident response efforts.
Patricia Christie joins the Crime Stoppers SA Board with extensive experience in governance, having served over thirty years in the Commonwealth, State Government, and private sectors. She was the inaugural CEO of the Independent Commissioner Against Corruption and the Office for Public Integrity in South Australia and has acted as the Independent Commissioner Against Corruption. Ms Christie’s significant roles also include CEO and acting Principal Registrar of the Family Court of Australia.
In her retirement, she continues to provide her expertise as Deputy Chair of the Adelaide Cemeteries Authority, and Chair of multiple Finance, Audit and Risk Committees across various organisations, including the Local Government Association of South Australia, the Electoral Commission SA. Ms Christie is also Deputy Chair of the Victorian Ombudsman Committee.
“Crime Stoppers South Australia remains committed to its goal of making South Australia a safer place for all and we look forward to leveraging the unique skills and perspectives of these new Board members to continue our vital work in the community,” Mr Vincent said.
