Thebarton – Assault and Theft

At 7.30pm on Tuesday, 15th August 2023 a male attempted to leave the Foodland store at Thebarton without paying for goods.

An employee of the store confronted the man about not paying for the items.

When the suspect and employee moved outside, the man punched the employee twice to the left eye, resulting in injuries.

The man then left the area on a push bike and was last seen travelling east on George Street.

He is described as being Caucasian, with a slim build and about 175cm tall. He had no eyebrows or eyelashes.

At the time of the incident he was wearing a grey zip-up hooded jumper, full length dark coloured pants, a dark coloured cap and a black backpack.
